Our Packing List

We started to look for backpacks this week for our trip. We are not checking any luggage on any of our flights, so are backpacks have to weigh less then 6kg’s(13 lbs), and the size cannot exceed a total 45”(L+W+H). This should be interesting.

Our luggage for 40 days

2 Long sleeve shirts
3 T-shirts/tank tops
1 Dress Shirt
1 Skirt/Dress (below are the razors for Steve’s hairy legs, except when we are in Paris)
2 Pairs of lightweight pants
1 pair of shorts (Steve will be getting a pair of convertible pants from Kohl’s)
1 Bathing Suit (Unless we decide to go to the nude beaches)
1 Sweater
1 Pair sandals/flip flops
5 Pairs of underwear
3 Pairs of socks
1 Jacket
1 Silk travel sheet
1 Lightweight micro fiber towel
1 Set of outlet adapters (all our electric items will convert to 240v)
1 Quart size baggie stuffed with Kelly’s 3oz bottles of shampoo, lotion, face wash, and whatever else Kelly can't live without
1 Pack of razors
1 Ipod
1 Empty water bottle (Thanks TSA)
1 First aid kit and sewing kit
1 Guidebook for Europe
1 Toothbrush, deodorant, spot remover, fabric sheets, etc.

We are also bringing a camera and our laptop, but the airlines make allowances for those items. We might look a little funny getting on some of the planes though, wearing a t shirt, long sleeve shirt, a sweater, and a jacket at the Moroccan Airport, where it will be around 80 degrees.

Steve's Passport

We just returned from the Ocean City, MD Post Office and Steve's passport should take about 6 weeks to process. As of now, we have about 7 weeks until we would like to be heading into Lisbon. The good thing is that we can obsess about how this will ruin our trip for the next few weeks. Of course, Kelly's passport is valid and she is ready to go with or without Steve.
